In our latest Office Hours session, the Local Logic team shared a series of exciting product updates designed to help brokerages, MLSs, and technology partners deliver richer consumer experiences and unlock new business opportunities. Overview of updates
IO Reports have long helped consumers understand both lifestyle and market dynamics: what it’s like to live in a neighborhood, how people get around, what amenities and schools are nearby, and how local housing markets are trending. Until now, agents created these reports manually, but with our latest update, IO Reports can now be generated programmatically through our API.
This means brokerages can seamlessly integrate lifestyle and market insights into their own platforms and workflows, with full control over categories, branding, and customization. Reports can now power automated drip campaigns, dynamically update within emails, or be embedded directly into offer flows — ensuring clients always have the latest market intelligence at their fingertips. Because each report URL is live and always refreshed, consumers get real-time insights every time they engage.
The API also opens new possibilities for lead generation, allowing brokerages to gate reports in exchange for contact information. Whether used for nurturing prospects, supporting transactions, or fueling marketing campaigns, the IO Reports API makes it easier than ever to deliver high-value, always-current insights.
Local Content is one of our most widely used products, with over 8.3 million unique homebuyers interacting with it every month across thousands of websites. Recognizing its role as a flagship product, we’ve rebuilt it from the ground up to deliver a sharper, more listing-centric experience. The redesign puts the property at the center of the map, so buyers can explore amenities and services in direct relation to the home they’re viewing — making neighborhood context instantly more intuitive.
The update also introduces greater discoverability of scores, insights, and points of interest, driving higher engagement and supporting stronger SEO performance. Beyond the consumer experience, we’ve added a new layer of customization to give brokerages more control: from collapsing sidebars to spotlight the map, to selectively hiding POI categories or scores that don’t fit a specific listing. This allows brokerages to finetune Local Content to reflect the realities of each property and present only the most relevant insights to buyers.
We’ve also expanded basemap options. While MapTiler remains included out-of-the-box, brokerages can now integrate Google Maps or Mapbox for a consistent experience across their websites. Full theme support ensures Local Content can seamlessly adopt custom map styles, making it feel fully native to each brand. Taken together, these enhancements deliver a more engaging, flexible, and brand-aligned consumer experience — cementing Local Content as the go-to neighborhood insights solution in real estate.
Market coverage just expanded in a big way: Local Logic now provides county-level insights across both the U.S. and Canada, bringing a new layer of granularity to our data stack.
For the U.S., this includes support for over 3,000 counties; in Canada, nearly 300 census divisions — the county equivalent — are now live. These updates are fully supported across our APIs (including Demographics and Market Trends) and key products like Neighborhood Wrap and Neighborhood Market Reports, with county-level Lifestyle Reports coming later this year.
This means brokerages and brands can now view demographic and economic trends through any geographic lens, from neighborhood to metro, while giving agents a stronger foundation for client conversations. For consumers, county data provides a clearer picture of market dynamics, particularly in areas without a strong city center, making it easier to connect with the regions they identify most with.
Affordability continues to be one of the most pressing concerns for today’s homebuyers, and agents need tools that explain trade-offs in clear, data-driven terms. That’s why we’ve completely rethought our Housing Affordability Index (HAI).
Where past versions focused narrowly on median home prices, the updated HAI now takes into account median household income and home sizes to reveal how much homebuyers actually get for their money. Instead of simply showing which neighborhood is more expensive, the new HAI helps answer a far more important question: is it truly more affordable?
Integrated directly into our Demographics API (and available across both the U.S. and Canada), the HAI empowers brokerages to frame affordability in a way that builds trust and sets realistic expectations. By showing how affordability shifts across neighborhoods, it helps keep consumers engaged and confident as they move forward in their search.
Finally, we offered a look at what’s coming next: a new turnkey lead generation product designed to bridge the gap between consumer engagement and agent pipelines.
While many broker tools stop at the point of interaction, this upcoming widget goes further by allowing brokerages to offer IO Reports directly on their websites in exchange for consumer contact info. Homebuyers can choose lifestyle or market reports for the neighborhoods they care about, instantly receive them via email, and at the same time, their information flows straight into the brokerage’s CRM.
Launching in just weeks, this ready-to-use lead magnet helps brokerages capture, qualify, and nurture leads automatically. And down the road, it will go even further by enriching each lead with insights about what homebuyers value most — from quiet streets to walkability to schools — ensuring agents not only capture leads, but also understand what motivates them.
From APIs that make lifestyle and market trend data more accessible to a refreshed Local Content experience, expanded county-level coverage, and a new Housing Affordability Index, these updates represent a major step forward in helping brokerages deliver value throughout the homebuyer journey. And with a new lead-generation tool launching soon, it will be easier than ever to connect consumer interest directly to agent pipelines.
