What the scores measure
Every neighborhood is rated on the same 16 Location Scores that shape daily life: walkability, cycling, transit, car-friendliness, groceries, shopping, cafés, restaurants, nightlife, primary and high schools, daycares, quiet, vibrant, parks, and wellness. According to Local Logic, each score is shown out of 10 and is measured at the address level from validated infrastructure and points-of-interest data.
How the rankings work
Within each metro, Local Logic ranks neighborhoods overall, then shows how well each one fits young professionals, families, and retirees. The scores describe a neighborhood rather than grade it. A high score means more of that quality, not a better place overall. Rankings compare each neighborhood to its own metro's baseline rather than a flat average, so the same score means the same thing in every city listed here. Price never drives a ranking; it only breaks ties between neighborhoods that are otherwise closely matched.
